Generally sleeping itself is a natural thing. We always know that indirectly sleep is nothing but taking rest for sometime or relaxing. Yes, but the pattern of sleep varies person to person. Today I’ll be sharing some benefits of sleep and why it is so much important and beneficial for a good health. 

Why sleep is important?

Sleep plays a huge role throughout your life and also it has some vital roles towards your body and well-being. Your pattern and quality of sleep controls your mood ,responses, your behaviour, thinking , work etc. 

Benefits of sleeping 

1. Body and brain development 

A good sleep and naps develop your brain function and body functions for healthy lifestyle and living habits. It supports your physical health for betterment of your body and mental well being. You will not be depressed or lack of energy throughout the day. 

2. Healthy heart 

Lack of sleep can immensely affect your heart. When you sleep your heart rate and blood pressure falls and at rest. Likewise if you are awake at night your blood pressure increases and sympathetic system will be activated throughout. A good sleep can keep you away from heart diseases and life threatening diseases. 

3. Healthy Habits 

As far as habits are concerned you have to take some steps to build it. And sleep is one of them. Healthy lifestyle is not easy to maintain but with right dedication you can do it. When your sleep schedule is perfect everything goes perfect next day. You’ll not be late , workout on time , meals on time , no frustration of workload, family time , self care time . But, when you wake up late all your work is on hold and your whole day is ruined. 


4. Hormonal change 

As you grew older hormones play a huge role in development of body. Hormones control your emotions, actions, feelings. Hormones have specific time to release and relax. When you don’t have enough sleep your hormones patterns change and they produce more or less. By this your whole body function will be affected. 

5. Depression control 

Sleep deprivation often leads to depression and anxiety disorders. The most common causes of sleep deprivation include lack of sleep, negative thinking, thoughts. Better sleep helps you to relax your mind and stops negative feelings for long period of time. Sleep helps your brain to focus on good things rather then worrying too much.
